Teeth Whitening

Superior Dental Health is the “go-to” place for professional whitening tailored to your individual smile goals. Our dental office provides the safest, fastest teeth whitening options.

Everyone deserves a brighter smile, but many factors, including dietary habits (drinking coffee, tea, soda, and red wine) and certain medications, can affect the whiteness of your smile. Teeth whitening at Superior Dental Health in Lincoln, Omaha, and Blair, NE is an affordable and effective way to combat common causes of tooth discoloration while boosting your self-confidence and improving your appearance.

Teeth Whitening in Lincoln, Omaha, and Blair, NE

At Superior Dental Health, you can take advantage of the convenience of in-office whitening treatments, which take approximately one hour, and/or take-home customized whitening trays that whiten the teeth over a period of weeks. We recommend professional teeth whitening because it provides better results, requires less time, and is more reliable than OTC whitening. Professional teeth whitening is also less likely to cause gingival sensitivity or irritation.

Before any method of whitening, we begin with a new patient comprehensive examination, complete all restorative needs, and have a preventive care prophylaxis (cleaning).

At-home Professional Whitening

Once your cleaning is complete, we take full-mouth impressions of your teeth and construct your custom-made bleach trays. You will receive tubes of whitening gel to be used for ten to 14 days depending on the level of whiteness you desire. We offer a VIP whitening program, where you receive whitening gel refills for your take-home trays at your preventive care appointments.

In-office Philips Zoom! Whitening

We use the Zoom! WhiteSpeed Light-Activated Whitening System to accelerate and enhance your whitening process. Using whitening gel and the all-new Whitening LED Accelerator, your teeth can become up to eight shades lighter in just a single one-and-a-half-hour appointment! The gel and light work together gently to break up the stains on your teeth, while leaving the structure of your teeth unchanged.

Which whitening treatment is right for you?

Professional tooth whitening is not for everyone. Your consultation will give us time to discuss your goals, the risks and benefits of whitening, and the best options for your individual needs.

Regardless of which whitening option you choose, there are several factors to keep in mind:

  • Teeth and gums must be healthy before beginning a teeth-whitening regimen
  • Teeth whitening is best at removing yellow staining from aging, tobacco, dark cola, tea, coffee, or red wine
  • Tetracycline stains may not be affected by whitening procedures
  • Repeat treatments may be necessary from time to time to keep your smile looking its whitest
